Bachelor of Theology

To be admitted to the B.Th. degree course a student should have successfully completed:

  • B.A. or an equivalent degree;
  • B.Ph. or the two/three-year course of philosophy in a studentate or major seminary;
  • Basic course in Latin.

The following are required at the time of admission:

  • Two photocopies of the Matric/Class XII and B.A. or equivalent certificate and of the philosophy certificate. In case the certificate has not yet been issued, provisional certificate from the institute will serve as substitute.
  • Two photo-copies each of the Marks list of Matric/Class XII and B.A. or equivalent degree mark list and of the philosophy course.
  • Four passport-size photos and two stamp-size photos of the student.
  • A letter of recommendation from the Provincial / Bishop /Superior.

Master of Theology

To be admitted to the M.Th. Degree course, besides what is laid down in B.Th. admission requirements, it is necessary:

  • That one should have obtained a B.Th. degree with at least ‘C’ grade in the final evaluation;
  • That one who is lacking a degree in Theology should have completed the six years of the ecclesiastical course in Philosophy and Theology with a high second class;
  • That one should have a working knowledge of a European language other than English (Italian/ German/ French/Spanish) and of a classical language (Greek / Hebrew).

Integrated Training for Laity and Religious (ITLR)

The student must have a working knowledge of English language. On this account a candidate will have to appear for an English Test or he/she should produce a certificate to that effect.

Lay candidates will need to obtain a recommendation letter from their bishops or parish priests.

A candidate must have completed at least Class X in order to be eligible for ITLR.
